When settling into a new community, taking part in organised football can help refugee women and girls grow their confidence.

With your gift, you will receive a blank 'Support refugee women and girls through sport' greetings card that can be sent to a recipient of your choice. Your donation will be used to enable vital human rights work in the UK and around the world - wherever it's needed most.

Football can play a hugely important role in helping to settle into a new country and culture, to make friends, learn the language and get to feel part of a community.

Whilst our work is tailored to the needs of refugee women and girls in each community, typical activities might include:

• Hiring a football pitch
• Paying a coach to run a training session
• Developing training resources for football coaches and clubs about how to engage refugee women and girls in football

  When you buy a virtual gift, the money is used where it is needed most at the time, which could include supporting refugee women and girls through sport.

  Your donation will go to Amnesty International UK Section Charitable Trust, a charity registered in England and Wales (no 1051681) and in Scotland (no SCO39534) and a registered company (no 03139939). The Trust funds our UK and global activities to promote human rights. Funds raised for the Trust may only be spent on human rights work that the Charity Commission regards as charitable under UK law.
